Bamberg's Information Systems:
Consistently Excellent Results in the CHE Ranking

CHE Master's Ranking 2023: Information Systems Programmes Defend Top Positions

Once again, Bamberg's Information Systems programmes have achieved top marks in all ten categories assessed: students rated the range of courses on offer, the support provided by lecturers and the organisation of studies as outstanding and awarded very good marks for practical and research orientation and support for stays abroad, among other things. "This once again makes us the top university in Germany for information systems and digitalisation in companies," says a delighted Prof. Dr Thorsten Staake, who is in charge of the CHE ranking for Bamberg's Information Systems programmes. "Our location combines challenging teaching with a liveable city and excellent job opportunities during the degree programme."

The department, which has continued to grow thanks in part to Hightech Agenda Bayern, is further expanding its range of degree programmes with five specialisations in Business Informatics: Digital Transformation, Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Sustainability and System Development. In the field of AI in particular, the range of courses also benefits from the newly founded research centre for AI research "Bamberg Center for Artificial Intelligence (BaCAI)", in which numerous Information Systems chairs are associated.
