Research
Research in the Computer Graphics Lab focuses on advancing the creation, animation, and interaction of virtual characters and deepening our understanding of virtual and augmented reality (VR/AR).
Combining methods from computer graphics, perception, VR/AR, motion capture, data-driven animation, machine learning, privacy, and human-computer interaction (HCI), we aim to explore critical questions at the intersection of these domains, for example:
• How can we create motions to animate virtual characters, self-avatars, and agents? How do we perceive these characters?
• How can we seamlessly communicate in and interact with virtual environments?
• How can we develop and use virtual reality and augmented reality to effectively convey content, create engaging experiences, and solve real-world problems?
