At the end of the semester: Open Lab Night, project presentations on Digital Health, and Pitch Night

Traditionally, students present their work at the end of the semester. These include work from the field of human-computer interaction, business ideas on the topic of digital entrepreneurship, and projects in the field of digital health.

OpenLab-Night at the Chair of Human-Computer Interaction

The Chair of Human-Computer Interaction of the University of Bamberg once again invites you to the OpenLab-Night at its Cooperative Media Lab at the ERBA campus on Thursday July 20, 2023 from 18:00 to 21:00.

Presented will be human- and task-oriented applications, technological concepts, prototypes, and systems, which have been developed under the research guiding premise "Human-Centred Computing" at the chair in current research, cooperation, and transfer projects as well as in student projects and theses.

Numerous live demonstrations allow visitors to interactively try out the latest technologies and thus gain an insight into the work of the chair. The spectrum of this OpenLab Night ranges from innovative approaches to distinguish true and false statements in online questionnaires, to the identification of truth content in social media, to cooperative collaboration in confined spaces, as well as other exciting research topics in human-computer interaction. In addition, further insights into bachelor's, master's, and doctoral theses at the chair will be offered, as well as an impression of transfer projects with industrial partners. Interested visitors will also have the opportunity to visit the usability lab of the chair.

The Cooperative Media Lab is located in the ERBA building in room WE5/01.045, An der Weberei 5 in Bamberg. You can find the poster of the event as PDF at: https://www.uni-bamberg.de/fileadmin/hci/News/OLN_Poster/OLN_SS2023_de.pdf

Pitch Night 2023

The Pitch Night is the final event of the project 'Digital Entrepreneurship' at the Chair of Information Systems, especially Information System Management.

In this three-month project, Bachelor students learn to solve complex problems and develop new ideas and then turn them into concrete prototypes. Digital solutions will be linked to social and economic models and finally a business idea with a business plan will be formulated. These will be presented on Thursday, July 13, starting at 5:30 p.m. in the rooms of the Digital.Fabrik (An der Spinnerei 3, 96047 Bamberg) by the student teams to a broad audience from business, university and interested parties. A total of four concrete business models will emerge from this semester's project.

The Pitch Night as well as the whole project 'Digital Entrepreneurship' has been developed in cooperation between the University of Bamberg and the Digital.Fabrik GmbH and is supported by the medium-sized company CHSN and the Office of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the University of Bamberg.
