Knowledge and Technology Transfer
Artificial intelligence is transforming how organizations collaborate, make decisions, and carry out public tasks. We are convinced that this development can only be effectively shaped through dialogue between academia and the professional world. That is why we enjoy collaborating with companies, public administrations, and civil society organizations—from the initial idea all the way to a joint research project.
Our partners benefit from the latest research findings, an independent perspective on the use of AI, and access to dedicated students. In turn, we gain insights into real-world challenges that ensure our research remains relevant. We are particularly interested in questions surrounding AI in teamwork and meetings, AI in public administration and political decision-making processes, and the analysis of public discourse on new technologies.
Opportunities for Collaboration
Teaching: Bachelor’s and Master’s theses in collaboration with industry partners, real-world case studies and project assignments in our courses, as well as guest lectures.
Research: Joint research and development projects, accompanying research and evaluation of AI initiatives, joint grant proposals, as well as workshops and presentations for knowledge exchange.
In past projects, members of the department have collaborated with various banks and insurance companies, cities and municipalities in Germany and Switzerland, as well as with ZF, among others.
