Research
At the Chair of Computer Networks, in addition to classical computer networking, we primarily focus on wireless communication using a broad and interdisciplinary approach.
Our research goals include adaptive wireless networks in highly dynamic scenarios, leveraging sub-6 GHz and mmWave communication with applications in vehicular networks and ad hoc sensor networks. A main focus of our work is the design and development of architectures and network protocols for efficient and resilient communication in wireless networks, with applications in the Internet of Things (IoT) and vehicle-to-vehicle communication, incorporating probabilistic data structures.
In addition, we conduct research on 5G/6G network technologies and networked embedded systems with applications in the context of smart audio.
