Should you have problems resetting your password yourself, you can
- visit our office in person (RZ/00.13 – IT-Support) and show valid picture identification (ID, passport, driver’s license, Student ID card) and we will then create a new password for you.
- send us an email (it-support(at)uni-bamberg.de) including scans of two forms of picture identification (ID, passport, driver’s license, Student ID card) and we will send you a new password.
- send us a copy of two forms of ID (ID, passport, driver’s license, Student ID card) by mail (address: https://www.uni-bamberg.de/rz/allgemein/kontakt/). Please also provide an email address we can use to send the new password to you.
If you have forgotten your password, you can reset it yourself or visit IT-Support in person and show valid picture identification and your Student ID or ServiceCard.
To change your password online, you will need a private e-mail address.
Open the Self-Service “Kennwort vergessen” using the IAM-Portal (see the green box below).
If you have added a private e-mail address before, please check “mit hinterlegter E-Mail-Adresse”.
If you have NOT added a private e-mail address yet, please check “ohne hinterlegte E-Mail-Adresse”.
Depending on your choice, you will have to enter your BA-number (“BA-Nummer”), your private e-mail address (“hinterlegte private E-Mail-Adresse” or “private E-Mail-Adresse”), your date of birth (“Geburtsdatum”) and the last six numbers on your Student ID or ServiceCard (for more information on how to find your card’s serial number, click “Wo finde ich die Kartenseriennummer?”).
