Virtual Private Network (VPN)
For security reasons, a number of data services are accessible only from the university's network. If you try to connect to these services from the Internet (e.g., from home), you will be denied access.
These include:
- Fileserver
- Certain (restricted) web pages on the www server
- campusprint (Sending print jobs and user services)
- University Intranet
- Electronic Libraries
- CD-ROM databases
- Online Databases
- ZUV-Portal
- Web Portals for Phone Systems
- Exam Administration (FlexNow)
To be able to use these data services from locations outside the university's data network, you must first establish a VPN (Virtual Private Network) connection.
