At the University of Bamberg, you use a telephone system based on Voice over IP. In addition to connecting calls, the telephone system offers you
- an answering machine (voicemail),
- an integrated fax server
- a conference server for conference calls, as well as
- the ability to manage phone calls directly from the computer (UCware Client).
Video Communication
If the people you're talking to aren't in the same location and you still want to hear and see them, you'll need a video conferencing solution. Depending on the technical equipment available at all participating locations, you can use video conferencing technology provided by IT Services or web conferencing solutions that you can use at your workstation.
