Video conferencing software
Microsoft Teams allows users to hold audio and video conferences. The system supports up to 250 participants in a single conference at the same time. In addition, Microsoft Teams offers a more comprehensive approach to ongoing digital collaboration: users can share files and collaborate via chats and other tools.

Microsoft Teams is available free of charge to all members of the University of Bamberg.
Zoom Meetings allow you to hold video conferences. Up to 300 people can participate in a regular meeting. If you are planning a larger meeting or a webinar, please contact IT-Support to obtain a temporary license.

Zoom (Meeting 300) is available free of charge to all members of the University of Bamberg.
Video Conferencing Hardware
Nowadays, you can easily hold video conferences on your own PC or laptop. All you need is a webcam, a headset or speakers, and a microphone.
If needed, you can borrow the necessary hardware from IT Support for Events: Equipment Rental for Hybrid Event Formats or Recordings. In addition, some rooms are equipped with audio and video technology:
- List of rooms where desk microphones can be used as an audio source for video recordings and broadcasts.
- List of event rooms with permanently installed cameras and microphones.
