On Friday, 23 October 2026, an interdisciplinary student conference on the topic of The Odyssey: Adaptations, Afterlives, Female Agency will take place here at the University of Bamberg. We will explore the ancient Odyssey and its modern legacy, particularly in German and English literature. The conference aims to provide a platform for student papers that engage with the dynamics of adapting myths, female agency, and the potential of gender and queer studies in the proliferation of classical myths and narratives.

We cordially invite students of this university to join us for this conference. The programm can be found HERE(432.7 KB, 2 Seiten).

We are happy to see many of you on Oct 23 and look forward to the talks and discussions!
