Original Franconia Bock Beer Tapping and Dinner

We warmly invite all participants to the traditional conference dinner for an evening of networking and cultural celebration.

 

Join us on November 20th from 19:00 to 22:00 for the Original Franconia Bock Beer Tapping and Dinner.

This communal evening will take place at the historic Ahörnla, a cozy and traditional Franconian tavern. You can look forward to a rich buffet and the festive tapping of the Franconian Bock beer.

Franconian Trivia: The Bock Beer Tradition

  • Bock Beer is a strong, dark lager traditionally brewed for special occasions, marking the change in seasons or celebrating holidays. It is a true local specialty, especially popular in the colder months.
  • Tapping Ceremony: The traditional "Bock Beer Tapping" is a centuries-old ritual. The beer keg is ceremoniously opened with a specific wooden mallet, symbolizing the start of the beer season—a festive cultural experience you shouldn't miss!
  • Bamberg's Unique Beer Culture: Bamberg is famous worldwide for its unique density of breweries (there are 9 within the city limits!) and its variety of specialty beers. The Ahörnla is an ideal, authentic setting to experience this proud tradition.
