CHE University Ranking

In the CHE University Ranking, students rate the conditions of studying at their university. The CHE ranking also contains information and facts about studies, teaching, facilities and research in around 40 subjects at more than 300 universities.

The individual subjects are re-evaluated every three years. In Bamberg, the subjects of Educational Science, Psychology, German Studies and Romance Studies were re-evaluated in 2025. In this year, the Bamberg student surveys were only evaluated for the subjects of educational science and psychology.

In Psychology, Bamberg students gave the University Library a score of 4.6 on a scale of 1 (very poor) to 5 (very good). In a comparison of universities and colleges, Bamberg University Library thus received the top rating together with Chemnitz University Library.

In addition to the library, the students' evaluation criteria include the organization of studies and examinations, library equipment, IT infrastructure, support, IT and room equipment and support and assistance during studying. Bamberg's psychology students gave the library the highest marks.

The Bamberg students rated the University Library the second-best among universities and colleges in the field of educational sciences with a grade of 4.2.
