Bamberg Graduate School of Social Sciences (BAGSS)

This graduate school has an international and interdisciplinary orientation. It is funded by the Excellence Initiative of the German federal and state governments. 


Research Center for Business Models in the Digital World

In 2015, the University of Bamberg and the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits IIS established the Research Center for Business Models in the Digital World in Bamberg. The aim of the Research Center for Business Models in the Digital World is to conduct basic research in business administration in the context of the digitalisation of companies, and to evaluate the research results in an application-oriented way.

State Institute for Family Research at the University of Bamberg (ifb)

The State Institute for Family Research at the University of Bamberg (ifb) is the only social science research institute in Germany that focuses exclusively on family research. For more than 20 years, the institute has been conducting interdisciplinary research on the living conditions and needs of families, the organisation of family life, and the changing circumstances and lifestyles of families.
