Top marks in the CHE ranking for European Economic Studies (Economics) in Bamberg

Excellent support from the start to the end of the EES degree program

Master EES:

Following the excellent performance of the Bachelor's degree course in European Economic Studies (EES) (see below) in the latest CHE ranking, the Institute of Economics once again has reason to celebrate: in nine out of ten categories of the renowned student survey, the Master's degree course in EES is now also well above the German average in most cases and is among the leaders in all ten categories. Particularly pleasing is the excellent rating in the areas of "study organization" and "support for stays abroad". The students even awarded the maximum number of points twice in their assessment of stays abroad. "Our Institute of Economics is delighted with the positive assessment from the students on our Master's program," says Prof. Dr. Marco Sahm, head of the degree program. "This outstanding result is both confirmation of the quality of our existing courses and an incentive to work with full commitment on the further development of our degree programs." For example, the expansion and integration of digital courses and the practical orientation of teaching will be the focus of further efforts in the future.

Bachelor EES:

Bamberg's Bachelor's degree program in European Economic Studies (EES ) has once again achieved an outstanding result, achieving top marks in twelve of the 14 criteria assessed by students. "The result reflects the fact that we offer our students excellent teaching and provide them with intensive support from the start of their studies to graduation," explains Prof. Dr. Marco Sahm, CHE ranking supervisor for the EES.

This is because the economics department was ranked among the top in the criterion "support at the start of studies" as well as in the organization of studies and support for stays abroad, which are mandatory for students shortly before graduation. "Here, the University's International Office and we as a department work very successfully hand in hand," Sahm is pleased to say. The economics department attaches particular importance to the recognition of credits earned abroad. The students appreciate this and award the full five possible stars in this area in their assessment.

Overall, the many very good ratings also result in a top position in the category "Degrees within a reasonable time".
