Studies

Interdisciplinary and International

The faculty’s course offering comprises foundational bachelor’s programmes and their corresponding, advanced master’s degrees in the faculty’s four central subject fields: Sociology; Political Science; Business Administration and Management; and Economics. These are single-subject degree programmes that nonetheless profit from the faculty’s interdisciplinary profile without compromising the fundamentals of each individual field. Each degree programme allows for studies abroad and in some programmes foreign studies are compulsory. Every student can take advantage of the numerous partnerships and exchange agreements with universities abroad.

With internationally aligned BA and MA degree programmes in “European Economic Studies (EES)” and International Business Administration and Management, the faculty offers training programmes which emphasise the significance of Europe’s cultural sphere and which are specifically tailored to preparing graduates to excel at the tasks that await them in careers with companies and institutions operating internationally.

Another of the faculty’s unique profile points is the rapidly growing field of Economics and Business Education in which teachers of business and commerce are trained. Graduates are skilled in fields pertaining both to economics and to education and psychology, meaning that they are not only qualified for employment in schools, but also in any number of economics-related fields.

The faculty's degree offerings are roundes out by two master's programmes that focus specifically on the fields of Educational Research, and Survey Statistics.
