The University of Economics, Prague (VŠE) is a partner institution of the double degree programmes offered by the Faculty of Social Sciences, Economics and Business Administration at the University of Bamberg. Within the programmes, students spend one academic year at the partner university and obtain, in addition to the degree from their home institution, an international Master’s degree.

The programme combines business administration with international perspectives on finance, accounting and international financial markets. Students take courses particularly in the areas of:

Programme Structure
Students spend the first academic year at their home university and the second academic year at the partner university. All coursework and examinations are mutually recognised and fully integrated into the respective degree programmes.
Individual study plans are based on the agreed curriculum structures and a Learning Agreement prepared jointly with the programme coordinators.

Upon successful completion, students receive:
- the Master of Science in Business Administration from the University of Bamberg
- and the Master in Finance and Accounting (MIFA) from the Prague University of Economics and Business

Application and admission
During the application for winter term, the double degree programme application is included in the regular application process for either the Master in Business Administration and/or the Master in Finance and Accounting. For admission, you must demonstrate German language proficiency at level B2. For all further information on the application procedure, please switch to the German version of this page.
Students starting the programme in Prague (University of Economics Prague = home institution)
Application and Admission for Students from the Prague University of Economics and Business
Students who begin the double degree programme at the Prague University of Economics and Business are nominated by their home university for the study period in Bamberg. After nomination, students receive all relevant information regarding application, enrolment and study organisation directly from the University of Bamberg.
Unlike regular exchange students, participants in the double degree programme are formally enrolled at the University of Bamberg. Enrolment is completed through the university’s online application system and students are supported throughout the process by the programme coordinators.
In addition, the International Office of the University of Bamberg supports international students in preparing their stay, particularly with regard to accommodation, orientation and language courses.
At the beginning of the semester, an orientation event for double degree students is organised by the Faculty of Social Sciences, Economics and Business Administration.

Programme Structure
The double degree programmes comprise four semesters. Students spend the first academic year at their home university and the second academic year at the partner university. During their stay abroad, students remain enrolled at their home institution.
All coursework and examinations completed within the programme are mutually recognised by both universities and fully integrated into the respective degree programmes.
The individual study plan depends on the university at which students begin the programme. The academic schedule is based on a Learning Agreement prepared jointly with the programme coordinators at both institutions.
