Dr. John Brickell (1749-1809)

Biographie:

Brickell wurde um 1749 in Louth County, Irland, geboren, von wo er ca. 1770 nach Amerika auswanderte. Die Umstände seiner frühen Jahre in Amerika sind nicht bekannt. Von 1774 bis 1776 absolvierte er ein medizinisches Studium am King's College (New York) und ließ sich danach als praktizierender Arzt in Savanna, South Carolina, nieder. Mit Mühlenberg stand er von 1802 bis 1807 in Kontakt.
