Die Institutsleitung besteht aus den dem Institut angehörenden Professoren und Professorinnen sowie einem Vertreter des Mittelbaus.
Zum geschäftsführenden Direktor wurde Prof. Dr. Marco Sahm und zum stellvertretenden geschäftsführenden Direktor Prof. Dr. Christian Proaño gewählt.
