Tuition Fees and Scholarships

Tuition Fees

The University of Bamberg does not charge tuition fees. However, students have to pay an administrative fee ("Semesterbeitrag") of currently 103,50 Euros per term. This includes contributions to the students union ("Studentenwerk") and free public transport in Bamberg and surroundings. Double Degree students will stay enroled at the University of Bamberg during the second year in Tilburg. For that reason they have to pay the administrative fee throughout the whole programme.

Tilburg University charges tuition fees that currently amount to 2 209 Euros per year for students with a EU or EEA nationality and 15 100 Euros per year for students with a non EU/EEA nationality, which students have to pay during the second year. More information about tuition fees at Tilburg University can be found here.

Scholarships

At the moment we do not offer any specific scholarships in connection to the Double Degree Programme with the University of Tilburg, but we undertake efforts to be able to provide support for Double Degree students in the future.

However, students interested in the Double Degree Program with the University of Tilburg can apply with the International Office of the University of Bamberg for a PROMOS-scholarship. Please note, however, that they are usually lower than Erasmus scholarships and are limited to max. one semester of study abroad.

The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) offers scholarships to students seeking to complete their Master's degree abroad (the so-called "Stipendien für ein Masterstudium im Ausland"), which accept applications for studies within the EU. For details about the requirements and application process for this particular scholarship, please check the DAAD website. If you have any questions about this, or any other DAAD scholarship, please visit the DAAD-info-center.

Finally, please visit the website of the International Office of the University of Bamberg for more information about the potential sources of funding for studies abroad.
