Kognition und Interaktion

Die Forschung im Kompetenzfeld Kognition und Interaktion befasst sich mit natürlichen und künstlichen kognitiven Systemen und deren Interaktion. Dabei werden zwei Perspektiven eingenommen: Methoden der künstlichen Intelligenz werden genutzt, um kognitive Modelle zu entwickeln, die helfen Charakteristica spezifischer kognitiver Prozesse im Detail zu verstehen; Empirische Untersuchungen und Erkenntnisse der Kognitionsforschung, der Psychologie und der Soziologie liefern Impulse, um künstliche Kognitive Systeme zu entwickeln, deren Fähigkeiten zunehmend das Niveau von Menschen erreichen. Untersucht wird auch, welche Erwartungen Menschen an künstliche Intelligente Systeme haben, wie sie die Reaktionen derartiger Empfehlungs- oder Assistenzsysteme interpretieren und wie sie diese nutzen. Umgekehrt wird untersucht, wie künstliche kognitive Systeme gestaltet sein müssen, um effiziente und relativ natürliche Interaktion mit menschlichen Nutzern zu ermöglichen.
