Entwicklungs- und pädagogische Psychologie mit den Schwerpunkten

  • Frühe Bildung und Entwicklung
  • Beziehungen zwischen der sprachlichen, (meta-)kognitiven und sozial-emotionalen Entwicklung
  • Einflussfaktoren auf die Entwicklung
  • Effekte und Wurzeln sozialer Disparitäten.
  • Entwicklungsdiagnostik und -förderung

Neben der typischen Entwicklung werden auch abweichende Entwicklungen und Entwicklungsstörungen einbezogen. Ein Schwerpunkt liegt in der Beteiligung an verschiedenen interdisziplinären und längsschnittlichen Studien und Forschungsinitiativen, z. B. National Educational Panel Study (NEPS); Panelstudien der DFG-Forschergruppe BiKS "Bildungsprozesse, Komptenzentwicklung und Formation von Bildungsentscheidungen im Vorschul- und Schulalter; längsschnittliche ökologische Förderstudie "BRISE" zur Förderung sozial benachteiligter Kinder.
