Brief Biography

Rebecca Schmitz has been a research associate at the Department of Statistics and Econometrics at the University of Bamberg since October 2026 and is a member of the research team for the project “New Data for Mobility Analyses (NeDaMo)”.

She completed her bachelor’s degree in Global and Transnational Sociology at the University of Duisburg-Essen in 2023 and obtained her master’s degree in Survey Statistics and Data Analysis from the University of Bamberg in 2026. During her studies, she worked as a student research assistant at the Statistical Methods Department of the Institute for Employment Research (IAB).
