E-Mail-App conversion

Notes:

  • After activating the email app account, you can only log in to your mailbox in email clients such as Outlook, Thunderbird, Apple Mail, etc. with the new username and the corresponding E-Mail App Password.
  • Logging in to Mailex https://mailex.uni-bamberg.de/ is not affected by this change; you can continue to log in with your normal BA-Number and password.
  • Close your email client (Outlook, Thunderbird, Apple Mail, etc.) before making the change.

Open your browser and log in to the IAM-Portal.

 https://iam.uni-bamberg.de/

Under Selfservices, you will find the option Disconnect email inbox. Click on it and follow the instructions in the form.

Note:

After starting to set up the email app account, it takes approximately 10 minutes before you can adjust the login information in the respective email clients.
