After studying Communication Science and Cognitive Science at Ruhr University Bochum, Kaan earned his Master’s degree in Expanded Realities (VR, AR, and MR) from the University of Darmstadt. This led him to focus on the effects of Virtual Reality on user psychology.

Alongside his ongoing entrepreneurial activities in various digital fields, since 2023, Kaan has been a PhD student at the University of Bamberg. His research focuses on the impact of technical VR specifications on perception, anxiety sensitivity, and emotional arousal.
