Printing and Scanning Using campusprint
With campusprint, the central printing service operated by the IT-Service (ITS), you can use any of the university’s photocopy machines as a printer.
This means you can
- upload documents to the print server from any computer and print a hard copy on university photocopy machines connected with campusprint. Print jobs sent to the campusprint server are saved for five days and then permanently deleted. Payment is made by students and staff by using a student identification card or a staff ServiceCard, respectively.
- use photocopy machines to scan documents and save them to the campusprint server as jpg or pdf files. You may then retrieve the files using any computer connected to the internet. Data scanned to the campusprint server is saved for five days and then permanently deleted. This scanning service is available free of charge.
The operating interface used on photocopiers and card reading devices includes a language selection function.

How to create print jobs via campusprint using Windows
If "campusprinter an campusprint.uni-bamberg.de" does not appear in your list of printer options (it should on all PCs of employees, computer labs and library PCs), you have to install the campusprinter with login via the campusprinter-setup.exe(119.8 MB) in order to establish a connection to the campusprinter.
The campusprinter-setup.exe is also installed by default on the PCs of employees and computer labs. It should automatically run with the start of the PC and is activ as a small Q-Symbol in the task bar. If it is not running you can find it under All Programs / Q Pilot - Client GUI
If you like to print via campusprinter on your private PC or notebook you can download the campusprinter-setup.exe(119.8 MB) and run the setup. The setup allows for setting the default printing options, which can be changed individually for each printing job or it is also possible to change default options later on.
