Two research awards for Bits-to-Energy-Lab and our research partners

We are very happy about the awards for research work in the field of "Energy Data Analytics"

The new year begins for us with two events to kick off the year. Two of the papers in the field of "Energy Data Analytics", which were written within the scope of joint research projects of Bits-to-Energy-Lab and BEN Energy, were awarded at international conferences last year.

On the one hand, the publication " Enhancing energy efficiency in the residential sector with smart meter data analytics" was awarded the AIS 2018 SIGGREEN Best Journal Paper on Green IS. The award, which was presented at the International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS) at the end of 2019, honors outstanding contributions that deal with the use of information systems to increase environmental sustainability.
On the other hand, Prof. Dr. Thorsten Staake and his research colleagues Markus Weiss, Friedemann Mattern, Tobias Graml and Elgar Fleisch were honored with the 10 Year Impact Award at the end of 2019 for one of their research papers. The award, which was presented at the International Conference on Mobile and Ubiquitous Multimedia (MUM) 2019, was addressed to the most cited MUM publications since 2009. The work investigates the influence of customer behavior through feedback on energy consumption with the aim of increasing the energy efficiency of households.
We are very happy about the research contributions and congratulate the two research teams.
