On Monday, June 22, 2026, our colleague Susen Halank successfully defended her dissertation titled “A Poem’s Other Life: Prose-Poetry Practices as Space-Claiming Techniques in the Letters of Emily Dickinson, Elizabeth Bishop, and Sylvia Plath.” We offer her our warmest congratulations!

We also congratulate her to her on winning the 2026 EDIS Graduate Student Fellowship, an award presented annually by the Emily Dickinson International Society.
