Course Selection & Registration
UnivIS
The University of Bamberg uses UnivIS as a tool for selecting and creating your timetable.
A thorough manual can be found here.
During the Preparatory Course / Orientation programme our tutors will offer an introduction to UnivIS and its main functions: how to look for courses, how to create timetable, how to find information about the lecturer of the course.
DISCLAIMER: The full course catalogue, and therefore also the English course list, for each individual semester will only be completed a couple of weeks before the start of its lecturing period. We advise you to wait with your choice until they are available. If you need to complete your Learning Agreement before arriving in Bamberg, please refer to the information in the Learning Agreement section below.

The course lists available here are intended only as a general guide and do not guarantee that a course will be offered every semester.

Course & Exam Registration
The University of Bamberg uses FlexNow as a tool for registering for courses and exams.
This webseite can only be accessed once you have officially enrolled at the University of Bamberg. A manual can be found here.
Our tutors will offer an introduction on how to register for courses and exams during the Preparatory Course / Orientation programme.
IMPORTANT!
- Course registration requirements vary by department or faculty. Some departments (e.g. English & American Studies, the Language Center) require registration for course participation, while others (e.g. Political Science) do not require registration for course participation.
It is essential that you check the information in UnivIS to determine whether course registration is required and to note the relevant deadlines.
If you wish to receive ECTS credits, you must register for the course examination. Exam registration is subject to strict deadlines as well. Information can be found in the respective UnivIS course entry, obtained directly from the lecturer, or will be announced by the lecturer during the course.
Please be aware that students are solely responsible for registering for course participation (where applicable) and for examinations. The International Office cannot complete these registrations on your behalf.
