New Master's seminar: 'Doing research with AI' – places still available!

This winter semester, we are offering the master’s seminar 'Doing Research with AI' for the very first time. The seminar will be taught together with the Prof. Dr. Mateusz Dolata, the newly appointed Chair of Computational Social Sciences and Artificial Intelligence.

The seminar covers the highly innovative and rapidly evolving topic of how AI is changing the way we conduct research. Rather than discussing AI in the abstract, students will gain hands-on experience of using AI tools throughout the research process, from working with literature to qualitative, quantitative, and design-oriented research. At the heart of the seminar is a 'methodological retrofit': students will take a published study and redesign its methodology using current AI tools. Questions of research ethics and good scientific practice will accompany the entire course.

The seminar provides excellent preparation for the Master's thesis and academic work in general by equipping students with essential research skills.
