CALL FOR PAPERS

04. ANNUAL BAGSS CONFERENCE
"Challenges for Diverse Societies"

The Bamberg Graduate School of Social Sciences is hosting its fourth annual interdisciplinary doctoral conference in Bamberg from the 20th - 21st September 2017.

One key characteristic of today’s societies is their diversity: People with different cultural, ethnical, socioeconomic, educational, occupational, political, religious, and demographic backgrounds meet and interact – sometimes voluntarily, sometimes because they have to. But diversity can also provide challenges for the society as a whole, for groups, and for individuals. Therefore, diverse societies and the challenges they face can be viewed as one of the defining issues that cuts across all social science disciplines.

Keynote and Guest Speakers are Joscha Legewie from Yale University, Samuel R. Lucas, from the University of California, Berkeley and Mikael Hjerm from Umeå University.

The Call for Papers is now open.
Abstract submission deadline: 30 June 2017
