Kurzbiografie

Sandra Jaworeck studierte Soziologie an der Universität Leipzig. Danach war sie von 2019 bis 2025 wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin an der Professur für Soziologie mit dem Schwerpunkt Gesundheitsforschung an der TU Chemnitz. Ihre Forschungsschwerpunkte liegen in der quantitativen empirischen Sozialforschung, der Gesundheits- und Medizinsoziologie. 2024 promovierte sie zum Thema ‚The Intersection of Machine Learning and Multilevel Analysis to Connect Subjective and Objective Levels in Health Research‘, wobei ein internationaler Gesundheitsindex entwickelt wurde, der den Zugang zum Gesundheitssystem abbildet. Zuvor war sie auch in drittmittelgeförderten Forschungsprojekten tätig, unter anderem zu Unternehmensstrategien im Verarbeitenden Gewerbe an der Ruhr-Universität Bochum. 

Neben ihrer Forschungstätigkeit ist sie seit 2020 Schatzmeisterin und Social Media-Beauftragte der Sektion Medizin- und Gesundheitssoziologie in der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Soziologie. Sie verfügt über langjährige Lehrerfahrung im Bereich quantitativer Forschungsmethoden und Statistik und war als Honorardozentin unter anderem an der International University (Leipzig, Frankfurt, Bremen, Dortmund), am Zentrum für Lehrerbildung und Schulforschung Leipzig sowie für eine Leipziger Summer School tätig.
