CITY CYCLING 2026 (decentralised, asynchronous event, 15.06.-05.07. )
Let’s make a difference together – at CITYCYCLING 2026!
From 15 June to 5 July 2026, it’s that time again in Bamberg: hop on your bikes and rack up the kilometres together. STADTRADELN (CITY CYCLING) is a competition between registered teams – including local authorities, businesses and universities – in which the aim is to cover as many everyday journeys as possible by bike in a climate-friendly way over a 21-day period.
The kilometres you clock up can be from group cycle rides – but the journeys you make on your own as part of your daily routine, such as to university, to work or when out shopping, count just as much. This means the initiative can be flexibly integrated into your own daily routine, whilst also offering the chance to enjoy a sense of community.
The STADTRADELN (CITY CYCLING) initiative is not just about sustainable mobility and active climate action: cycling can also make a valuable contribution to our well-being. Exercise in the fresh air promotes mental health, shared activities strengthen social bonds, and a commitment to a more sustainable future can be seen as a meaningful endeavour.
Join the ‘University of Bamberg’ team and, together with others, make a stand for health, community and sustainability. It doesn’t matter whether you cycle every day or only occasionally – every kilometre counts.
We’d love for you to join the university team!

Even if you are just starting out in your career, you have a right to fair pay. However, when it comes to their first salary, many people simply accept what their employer offers without negotiating. And unfortunately, it's usually not very generous, often combined with the comment that you don't have any work experience. That stings and hurts! To overcome negotiation inhibitions and fears, it helps to prepare yourself, visit salary comparison sites and, above all, become aware of your personal strengths and performance potential. This presentation will help you to improve your negotiation skills and learn how to find good arguments and present them convincingly.
