Let’s make a difference together – at ´STADTRADELN´ 2026!

From June 15 to July 5, 2026, Bamberg will once again be calling on everyone to hop on their bikes and rack up miles together. CITY CYCLING is a competition among registered teams—including municipalities, companies, and universities—where the goal is to cover as many everyday trips as possible by bike in a climate-friendly way over the course of 21 days.

The kilometers can be accumulated during group bike rides—but the trips you make on your own in your daily life, such as to university, work, or the grocery store, count just as much. This allows the campaign to be flexibly integrated into your daily routine while also offering the chance to experience a sense of community.

CITY CYCLING isn’t just about sustainable mobility and active climate protection: Cycling can also make a valuable contribution to our well-being. Exercise in the fresh air promotes mental health, shared activities strengthen social bonds, and the commitment to a more sustainable future can be experienced as meaningful.

Join the “University of Bamberg” team and, together with others, make a statement for health, community, and sustainability. It doesn’t matter whether you cycle every day or just occasionally—every kilometer counts.

We’d love for you to join the university team!
