Professor Dr. Isabel Kusche is interested in supervising doctoral students who wish to undertake research on political communication, digital media or democratic linkages between politicians and citizens. She supervises projects that are based on theoretical approaches and/or qualitative methods. Comparative projects are particularly welcome.

Her research interests are the digital transformation of the public sphere, political microtargeting and other practices of digital campaigning, political polarization and the role of social media, political expectations and visions regarding artificial intelligence and other digital innovations.
