The Chair of Strategy and Organization at this year’s AOM Conference in Copenhagen
The world’s largest management conference, the Academy of Management (AOM) Annual Meeting, took place for the first time in Europe this July, in Copenhagen, and the chair’s team participated with exciting research projects.
Prof. Dr. Martin Friesl and Dr. Christoph Brielmaier presented three joint conference papers:
- On the role of vocabulary in organizational attention allocation
- On the effects of strategic transparency on employees' strategy work, together with Thomas Ortner from Innsbruck
- On strategy education and role transitions on the path to engaging in strategy work, together with Isabella Dittmar
Matthias Feist also presented a paper on ecosystem strategies in potentially multilaterally complementary market environments.
Additionally, Dr. Christoph Brielmaier was awarded the Best Reviewer Award and was also nominated for the Best PhD Paper Award in the Strategy as Practice Interest Group.
