Introversion in College: Between the Norm and Diversity (Online Workshop) 10:00–11:00 a.m.
When?
10:00–11:00 a.m. (Monday, May 4)
Where?
Online via Zoom (You will receive the login details after successfully registering)
What?
In a world that often rewards “loud” behavior, introverted people are frequently underestimated or even disadvantaged. This workshop provides insights into the concept of “Perceived Introversion Mistreatment,” or perceived unfair treatment due to introversion. Together, we will reflect on the “extroverted ideal” in academic and everyday life, conduct an interactive team exercise, and discuss how teams can benefit from the diversity of different personalities.
The goal of the workshop is to provide you with a basic understanding of the extraversion-introversion continuum and to raise your awareness of existing stereotypes in academic and professional life. Additionally, as a participant, you will be encouraged to develop a greater appreciation for personality diversity and to reflect on your own experiences in seminars, group work, and social situations at the university.

Breathing Exercises (Online Workshops) 2:00–3:00 p.m.
When?
2:00–3:00 p.m. (Monday, May 4)
Where?
Online via Zoom (You will receive the login details after successfully registering)
What?
This workshop invites you to become consciously aware of your own breath and discover it as a resource for greater calm and balance in your daily academic and professional life.
Through a combination of brief, easy-to-understand insights and simple practical exercises, you will learn the basics of breathing—such as the breathing process, the muscles involved, and the connection between breathing and the nervous system.
The focus is on accessible exercises for breath awareness, gentle breath regulation, and the connection between breath and movement. You will experience how your breath can help regulate stress, find calm, and promote inner stability.
The workshop is open to all, regardless of prior experience, and teaches exercises that can be easily integrated into your daily life.
This session is the first in a three-part series designed to help you gradually experience breath as a supportive resource in daily life. While it is possible to attend individual sessions, the three sessions build upon one another. To fully grasp the content, participation in all three sessions is required (May 4, May 18, & June 15).

As part of the “Together We Are Less Alone” action week, this workshop invites interested participants to try their hand at improvisational theater in a playful way. In a relaxed atmosphere, you’ll learn the basic principles of improv—especially the “Yes, and” approach: accepting others’ ideas and developing them together.
Through simple warm-ups and exercises from improvisational theater, participants will gradually discover the joy of exploring together. The focus is on being present in the moment, spontaneous association, and a supportive group dynamic.
The workshop offers a low-barrier entry with no prior experience required—and most importantly: it’s not about performing, but about exploring and experiencing together. As a participant, you can experience self-efficacy, mindfulness, and social connectedness, and take away inspiration for your daily studies or work.

Silent Disco – Better Together
Following the opening ceremony, we cordially invite you to the Silent Disco to celebrate the kickoff together.
Under the motto
“Together we are less alone – Better Together,”
the Silent Disco will be a special experience: Through headphones, participants immerse themselves in their own musical world—yet remain part of a shared whole.
The Silent Disco creates a space where connection can be experienced in a new way: Everyone dances on their own, but no one is alone. This interplay of individuality and community reflects the central message of Mind Matters – mental health also arises through interaction, belonging, and shared experiences.
Movement, music, and consciously disconnecting from everyday life promote well-being and strengthen solidarity. The Silent Disco invites you to let go, recharge your energy, and experience yourself as part of a supportive community—in the spirit of: Better Together.

A special highlight takes center stage: Using an EEG measurement, participants control a Carrera racetrack solely through relaxation. This makes different states of brain activation visible in real time and directly experiential. This is complemented by neuroscientific insights and practical exercises for stress regulation.
Through live demonstrations, playful experimentation, and group discussion, the workshop offers a clear and accessible introduction to mental fitness—with concrete tips for greater balance and regeneration in everyday life.
