General Information

CommitEase is a relief programme for female academics at all qualification levels who distinguish themselves through their work on university committees. CommitEase offers female academics financial support for the employment of a student assistant - and thus for your own relief.
As part of the university agreement, CommitEase was established and designed for female academics at the University of Bamberg within the central field of action of equality and equal opportunities, as well as sustainability and climate protection.

Funding Content

The funding applies to backdated university committee work over the last two semesters, as well as prospectively. Currently, applications are being accepted retroactively for the winter semester 2024/25 and summer semester 2025.
A flat rate of 1,000 euro can be applied for per funding application. Reapplication is possible. In order to make optimal use of the limited funds, it is recommended to increase the number of hours worked by a student assistant already employed at the chair.

Applications for grants can be submitted at any time. There is no application deadline. Grants are currently awarded on a first come, first served basis. It is also possible to apply for the program multiple times in succession. Applying for CommitEase does not exclude you from applying for our StayTuned program.

Application Requirements

Applications are eligible from female scientists of all status groups (doctoral candidates, postdocs, junior professors with tenure track and professors) who are involved in academic self-administration at the University of Bamberg
The Academic Equal Opportunity Officer decide on the allocation of funding.
