Incentives and Behavior (SoSe 2026)

Objective:

This semester, we focus on limited attention. After an introduction, students will study, present, and critically assess current research articles. We expect students to discuss possible extensions of models, analyze modeling approaches, and/or analyze consequences for public policy.

The seminar will take place as a block seminar (exact dates are specified below); details will be discussed in the first meeting.

April 20th, 12pm c.t.       First meeting (room F21/03.81)

April 23rd, 8am s.t.         Binding registration including name, matriculation number, and the 3 most preferred topics to stefanie.schmitt(at)uni-bamberg.de and public-economics(at)uni-bamberg.de

April 27th, 12pm c.t.       Introduction to scientific working (room: F21/03.81), mandatory

June 8th, 10am s.t.        Submission of one printed seminar paper plus an electronic pdf version sent to stefanie.schmitt(at)uni-bamberg.de and public-economics(at)uni-bamberg.de

June 25th/26th               Presentations and Discussions (tentative)
