Dr. Guoye Sun - Library Science
Guoye Sun completed her undergraduate studies at Sichuan University, earning a double bachelor's degree in Management and Law. She then pursued her Ph.D. at the School of Information Management, Wuhan University. Supported by the China Scholarship Council, she conducted joint doctoral research in the team of Prof. Christian Maier. She completed her doctoral defense in 2025 with a thesis titled Research on explanation of privacy disclosure in user-generative AI interaction and was awarded the Outstanding Graduate Award by Wuhan University.
Her research focuses on human-AI interaction and user information behavior, particularly in areas such as AI trust, algorithmic awareness. She has led research projects such as the China Association for Science and Technology “Graduate Student Science Communication Capacity Building Project” and the Chongqing Social Science Planning Project, while contributing as a key member to several national-level projects, such as the National Key R&D Program of China and the Major Project of the National Social Science Fund.
She has received multiple honors, including National Scholarship of China, the Wei Lihua Scholarship from the Library Society of China, the Excellent Paper Award from the China Annual Conference on Information Science, and Outstanding Graduate of Sichuan Province, etc.
In academic service, she actively participates as a reviewer for journals and conferences in library science and co-authored chapters in some monographs, such as the Cambridge University Press publication “Human-AI Interaction and Collaboration”. Currently, Dr. Sun is working at Chongqing University, where she continues to expand her research into broader applications.
