WI26 in Linz

This year’s WI took place September 6–10.2026 in Linz, Austria, where our research associates participated. The „Internationale Tagung Wirtschaftsinformatik“, or WI for short, is considered the most important German-language conference for the information systems community. This year, the focus was particularly on sociotechnical systems in the age of AI.

Jana Lekscha and Jonas Rieskamp successfully contributed to the exciting sessions with their completed research papers. Jana Lekscha also participated in this year’s Doctoral Consortium (DC), where she presented her research and exchanged ideas with other doctoral students and professors. In addition, she presented her paper „How Does VR (Re)shape Fitness Motivation? Comparing Traditional and VR Fitness“.

Jonas Rieskamp presented the paper “Unpacking Human–Multi-Agent Collaboration For Collective Action.“

The exciting conference days provided opportunities for exchange with other researchers, PhD students, and practitioners, as well as valuable insights and new perspectives, particularly on AI-related topics.
