Kickoff Event for the New BOSNET Research Project

Last Friday, we had the online kick-off meeting for our newly approved BOSNET project, which is funded by the BMFTR for three years. Our department is collaborating on this project with the University of Potsdam, Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen, the University of Cologne, Virtimo AG, and the Federal Agency for Technical Relief (THW).
The project focuses on digital disinformation and on strengthening the operational capabilities of public safety agencies and organizations (BOS). Under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Mirbabaie, our department is specifically responsible for the scientific and technical development of the project. We are working on explainable AI models that enable BOS agencies to reliably detect disinformation and respond to it efficiently.
The kick-off meeting focused primarily on introductions and organizational matters. An on-site kick-off event in Potsdam will follow in September.
