ECIS 2026

Prof. Dr. Mirbabaie and Jonas Rieskamp attended this year’s European Conference on Information Systems in Milan, Italy, from June 15 to 17, 2026. There, Jonas presented his review paper, in which he systematically analyzed how strong sociomateriality research is conducted in information systems. His paper synthesizes the contemporary research practice into guidelines for future research. The insights of the paper sparked an interesting discussion about the diffractive method after his presentation. In addition, Jonas was awarded as one of the best reviewers of the conference!
