The topic of artificial intelligence (AI) is gaining increasing importance in education. On one hand, teaching basic AI skills (AI literacy) as an extension of media and computer science skills is important to enable safe and informed interaction with AI systems. On the other hand, new AI-based approaches to support teaching and learning processes are being researched and developed. The design of educational processes in schools, universities, vocational and extracurricular education can only succeed if scientists and practitioners work together to identify relevant professional competencies in the context of the increasing availability of AI-tools in order to derive requirements for AI systems in education. Precisely this is the aim of the coference "Artificial Intelligence in Education together with the AI Practice Day in Schools" (KIBIS2025), which for the second time took place on October 9 and 10, 2025 at the University of Bamberg. The Proceedings of KIBIS 2025 include research contributions from the fields of AI, computer science didactics, specific subject didactics, and pedagogy, regarding teaching AI skills to different target groups. Representatives from educational practice in schools, universities, companies, and extracurricular settings presented concrete applications for teaching AI and using AI tools.
