Mikołaj Golecki

I am a PhD researcher on the project ‘Relating Probabilities of Words to Probabilities of Worlds’ (PoWPoW), which aims to determine how large language models reason about probabilistic world knowledge, whether they do it consistently, how they compare to humans, and ultimately to improve existing world models. My advisors are Dr. Sean Papay and Prof. Dr. Roman Klinger. I am also on the board ("steering committee") of the Priority Area "LaSTing".

I have a BA in Literature from the University of Aix-Marseille and an MA in Computational Linguistics from Paris-Cité University. In my Master's thesis, I used simulations to investigate how complex compositionality could emerge in language.
