Robotics for Health and Care at the Zukunftswerkstatt Automotive
The event Zukunftswerkstatt Automotive Metropolregion Nürnberg addressed the transformation of the regional automotive supply industry and the use of existing technologies in other sectors. Around 250 people from business, research, politics, and public administration attended the event in Ansbach on September 30, 2026.
Medical Valley EMN e. V. organized a session a session on transferring automotive expertise to medical robotics. The discussion examined how technologies and expertise from the automotive industry could be used in healthcare robotics. This included potential contributions from automotive suppliers in components, software, and system integration.
Prof. Dr. Markus Rickert gave an introductory talk titled “Robotik für Gesundheit und Pflege: Anwendungen, Anforderungen und Herausforderungen.” Topics included human-robot interaction and the technical requirements for robots operating in changing environments.
