Short biography:

Felix Betz has been working as a research associate at the Chair of Economics: Money and International Economic Relations at the Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg since February 2023, where he is also pursuing his PhD. Since April 2026, he has additionally been supporting the Otto-Friedrich-Universität Bamberg as a research associate with a focus on teaching.

He completed his Master's degree in “International Economic Policy” at the University of Würzburg with distinction. Prior to this, he passed his first State Examination for secondary education in Mathematics and Economics at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg. In his current research, he focuses particularly on the computational identification of monetary policy shocks using Large Language Models (LLMs).
