Teacher Training Section (LeB)

The Teacher Training Section is a representative body and low-threshold contact point for student teachers (primary school, secondary schools of the Mittelschule, Realschule, Gymnasium type) at the University of Bamberg. If you have any questions, problems or suggestions regarding the teacher training programmes, the organisational process or exams and internships, our LeB staff will be happy to help.
We aim at good cooperation, close networking and collaboration with the student representatives, the chairs, the ZLB, the WegE Project, the Forum Praktikum and other university institutions relevant to teaching degree programmes.
We inform and advise students (EETs, information on state exams, internships, etc.), promote and organise cultural activities inside and outside the section, e.g. games nights and a summer party together with the Huwi and GuK student representatives each year (or as soon as the pandemic situation allows us to resume it).

We are also always happy to hear from new, motivated people who’d like to get more actively involved in their teaching degree and to make a difference, or who’d simply like to socialise and make new friends! You can find our meeting schedule and other contact details in our VC, feel free to drop by!

Propäd e. V. is an association for the promotion of the professionalism of educators, including teachers, at the University of Bamberg. The association was founded in 1992 on the initiative of the Chair of Foundations in Education and Bildungswerk der Diplom-Pädagogen e.V. We want to make studying at the University of Bamberg more interesting, more practice-oriented and more diverse for educators of all disciplines. To this end, we provide a variety of information nights, lectures, workshops and further training courses, and we cooperate with the Carithek volunteer agency. You can also apply for membership and get access to our internship and job exchange, where you can find out about internships, jobs, the latest training courses and more.
