Institute for Research and Development of Subject-Based Education (EE-feU)

The Institute for Research and Development of Subject-Specific Education (EE-feU) is primarily dedicated to the scientifically based education of pre-service teacher training students in the subjects of art and music, as well as biology, chemistry, mathematics, computer science and sports education. Mathematics and sciences education (MNE) is provided as an additional course of study for Bachelor's and Master's students at vocational schools (BA/MA Ed. social pedagogy). Combination courses (Bachelor's-Master's) are also offered. For further information see courses.

Research in the individual subjects at the institute is primarily empirical, systematic and historical in nature. Topics arising from research into teaching and learning processes and the development of teaching environments and activities in the subjects, as well as specific questions relating to the respective subject, are examined scientifically.

Furthermore, the members of the EE-feU are also active in tertiary education (e.g. in-service teacher training) and develop education-related materials for schools and education programmes. Transfer events for companies and industry are also offered from various perspectives.
