Partner University of High Performance Sport

Tight schedules, fixed exam dates, numerous competition dates and a heavy training workload?
The University of Bamberg was officially designated a Partner University of High Performance Sports by the German University Sports Federation (ADH) on 26 January 2005.
The aim of this cooperation is to make it possible for top athletes (A, B, or C squad of the respective national team) to combine their studies with competitive sport. The cooperation agreement, involving the University Executive Board, the student services, and national sports associations, envisages support measures for top athletes.
This means that top athletes studying at the University of Bamberg receive “study benefits” of an organisational (not content-related!) nature, such as:
- rooms arranged for them in student accommodation
- training opportunities
- assistance with examination dates
- possibility of semester(s) on leave
- etc.
