City4Future - Develop Your Climate-Friendly City of the Future!
City4Future combines sustainability education with questions of urban development. Students explore energy, mobility, resource use and quality of life, and develop ideas for a future-ready city. Funded by Wissensfabrik, the project shows how science learning, social responsibility and creative design can work together.
Citizen Science: Digital Identification of Solitary Bees in Nesting-Boxes
In this project, students investigate wild bees and other insects that colonise nesting boxes. Digital tools support the documentation, identification and analysis of their observations. In this way, biodiversity education, scientific inquiry and citizen science are brought together.
FunGi Revolution: Mushroom Cultivation in Classroom
Mushroom Cultivation in the Classroom is a seminar funded by the Office of Innovation, Transfer and Entrepreneurship (BIG) and combines social entrepreneurship with biological practice. The seminar introduces the basics of mushroom cultivation, tests mushroom growing in reusable buckets and develops accompanying teaching materials.
STEMmobil
With STEMmobil, we bring science experiments and learning opportunities to schools and extracurricular partners in the region. The aim is to provide children and young people with low-threshold, hands-on and activating access to biology, chemistry and other STEM topics.
Third Phase of Teacher Education

Connecting research and school practice is an important concern for us. We therefore offer occasional professional development courses for teachers from all types of schools. These are usually announced on the “Fortbildung in bayerischen Schulen” (FIBS) website.
